Good morning to you all:
I wanted to recap a little on this month's events.
The telephone museum was a very nice museum. While I won't be setting up a group there again any time soon, I highly recommend it if you are in the area. While I did not know that we had a "walking mall" downtown, it is in a nice area, although a little difficult to find. There is the parking garage on the corner of 4th and Silver, and that is your best bet, then walk back east, and turn south to get to the museum. There is 4 floors of displays, and while the folks running it are very "protective" of their exhibits, as families it is a nice place to visit for some history on the telephone.
Our TAG activity on the 18th was also great. We had about 20/25 kids come out and clean up our section of S14. They ranged in age from 4 to 17, and collected about 45 bags of trash (at closer count). It was amazing to all how much trash there was, since as your driving down the road, you don't see it all. Then half of the group had lunch at Pine Flats afterwards, eating and playing (roughly I heard) afterwards. But a good time was had by all. Again, my heartfelt thanks to all the boys and girls that came out to kick off our beginning of TAG once again.
We want to welcome Kristin and Clay Whitten and their 2 children, of whom will be beginning homeschooling this coming school year. Make sure and make them feel welcome to the group.

Check out the new "Happy Birthday" section below!!! (Now you know why I wanted your birth date mom's) If you haven't supplied me with that, please do so now, as well as any changes that may have occurred in your family, i.e. change of address, phone numbers, etc. I am trying to get that all update. I would appreciate it.
Well, private group Tennis lessons aren't going to happen for us at this point. First they had no instructor for us, and now they have their summer program going. Below is the sessions for the summer. I have done these in the past with my now teens, and they're good. They're just every day.
Scroll past the first box, the adult/junior tennis lessons, that's outdated according to Bob at Jerry Cline. Go to the tennis sites. There is listed the dates and times, either 8, 9 or 10 for 2 weeks, everyday for 2 weeks at a cost of 30.00.
Or scroll further down, and there is the National Junior Tennis League, which meets for 6 weeks. yes, everyday, for 50.00. Much better cost, if you don't mind doing it everyday.
Bob did say that we can do something for the fall, but for now with their summer program going, it would be to difficult to fit in another group.
I've left a message for Four Hills, to get their prices, but I highly doubt they'll be cheaper then 2 weeks for 30.00.
To sign up for a session, you go to the office at Jerry Cline, (off of 1-25 and Louisiana), fill out the paperwork and pay. They can also fit your child at that time with the appropriate size racquets needed, or for the lessons, they do have some racquets available. For further information, call 848-1381
