Good Morning to all of you, this weather is awesome don't you think? And yes I know we need rain, but I am so great full that the snow is melting.... Where I am at is stays frozen for months, and this year I am anxious for it to go away, or maybe that's every year, I can't recall.
Updates
1.) We had a great turn out at last week's Build A Bear event. 21 kids participated, and had fun, and although we were not happy with the way the company handled the class, all in all, the kids had a great time. When this is done again, (in 2011), I'll make sure and set it up differently.
2.) This week is the Butterfly Life Cycle on Tuesday for those of you that have signed up and pre-paid. See you all there at 11:45.
3.) On another note, there has been the talk of the parties for a couple of weeks now, and I changed my request to better fit everyone, and have had one of the parties taken. I still have 3 more that I need a couple of mom's each to take a work on. I have had Laddie and Leslie take Christmas for 09, That leaves Valentines, Easter, Fall/Halloween still. I will be booking with the church sometime this week, and will have dates, maybe that will help a few more volunteer when they know the dates and can plan accordingly.
4.) Please remember that the GSPP after an event indicates that if a girl scout participates, she can earn a fun patch. In turn, I have a great catalog and don't mind ordering additional patches for our cub scouts in the group for their participation in any event. Just talk to me and I'll share the magazine, and we'll get it figured out. No one need feel left out.
5.) The 2007-2008 yearbooks are printed and ready for sale. Those go from the Mom's luncheon in Aug 07 to the Firestation tour in August 08.
We printed extras for immediate sell. Books will cost $47.25. They are 103 pages big, with spiral bound, laminated front and back covers. That is 40 some pages more then last year. We make no money on these, this was our cost today to print them.
The following families appear throughout the book. This DOES NOT include the family pages that were submitted, this is in all of the activities that were participated in throughout the year:
McCready, Silva, Maxwell, Soto, Stanton, Wise, Yingst, Jeffers, Rigdon, Gresham, Morlando, Stull, Westfall, Moore, Snelgrove, Berdahl, Christian, Corbin, Fletcher, J Garcia, Higgins, Hooper, Kopchick, Lopez, Lusk, Meis, McKinley, Nichols, Ochoa, Ortega, Tara Schafer, Seizmore, Shelton, Springer, Vrooman, Wood, Holston
The first 7 families that wish to purchase one may purchase them directly from me. I've pre-paid for them. Checks should be made out to me.
For those that need a couple of weeks to offset the cost, you have until the 13th of March. That is a Friday, 3 weeks from now. Checks need to be to me by that date. Either by mail at 2A Locust Hill Rd, Tijeras 87059, or at the Family Dinner that night. They will be printed the following week and will be handed out at either the RGNC class on the 20th or at GS on the 24th or Bowling on the 25th.
We need to finalize this year and move on to the current year, that is why we are only giving three weeks to purchase them.
Since I pre-paid for the first 7, (since this first went out, I've already sold 5, I have 2 left). If you are interested, write me and I can get you one right away.
6.) On the subject of year books, I need to print off a 2006 - 2007 yearbook for one of my kids, (long story). So when I go to print the ones we still need to print for 2007-2008, I can print one of the 2006-2007 for those of you that wanted one, but didn't get one. The cost for this 65 page book was 35.00, spiral bound. If you are interested in getting one of these, let me know. You'll need to pre-pay for it as well, but I can hold the check until the day I go make the books. Just send me an email if you are interested.
I think that gets everything caught up for this week. Lots of info, sign up with me for events, and send me an email if you want a yearbook. I need to plan my time for how many we will be making.
